New HID conversion

Probably pointless to post this , but Im excited . Ive been patiently waiting for affordable Opel Astra Bi-Xenon headlights to show up for sale for a little over a year now , and I finally found a left hand drive pair of headlights on the europeon version of Ebay Motors . When u covert the british pounds , its equates to $135 US funds . THe shipping killed me though , it was $98 . Still dirt cheap for all I got . The guy , in addition to the headlight housings , included the bulbs , ballasts , the active forward lighting controllers . Pretty much all turn key . The swiveling projectors I cant make work though , theres just to many sensors in the Astra to make it function . Im going to attempt to wire in a 4-way up/down-left/right power window switch to adjust the height and side to side of the projectors to get them aimed right .

Now the bad part ....I have to wait almost a month before they will get here . Less shipping time up the cost ALOT , so I cheaped out .

Heres the headlights I got
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=008

And heres a crude , photoshop of what it will look like when Im done . LOTSO fabricating . Im basically cutting out the center of the Astra lamp , cutting out the center of the Cobalt lamp and remounting the Astra innerds to the Cobalt housing frame .

that is absolutely gorgeous.
I would sell my halos in a split second if those were available as a swapout.

Little to much work for me to tackle myself though.

Keep us posted!

It will be about a month roughly , give or take a week before I get them . Then it all depends on my free time . I should be able to do it in a couple Saturday afternoons . I hope

Thanks for the good lucks , hehe , I think I will need it
