They'll work.. You'll have to aim them lower. Stock headlights usually glare like a mother ****** when a HID bulb is in place. They look awesome, but you may get some people flashing you because it'll look like your highs are on lol. You should look into getting some projectors.

Those HID's you just purchased will not work in an after market lights, so yes you'll have to sell them! lol. And yeah, Just look.. I believe smartdude just made a thread on how to aim.

HID's work in our housings, aim them down and it won't be too bad. There are a lot of people on here who will say it's dangerous, and how it blinds people blah blah blah...
I would upgrade to projectors if you can afford it, but you will need to switch kits.

If you keep Stock headlamps, there's a 99.9% chance you will get pulled over. There are only a few cars that have headlamps made specifically for HID's and the Cobalt isn't one of them. My advice to you is get some projectors (ebay for about 180) and go from there. I have 10k on my 3rd G projectors and they are find. There a lot easier to aim than the others, and have a better cut off line. I suggest these.

Make sure that you get the correct bulb sizes for them, usually either H1, or H7 for these projectors.

I have HIDs in my stock housing... if you aim them correctly they won't blind anyone... plus a lowered car it'll only blind their bumpers! I have just as good a cutoff as any projector I have seen!

But to answer your question yes the 9007 Plug in play is correct for your car!

WTF, show me a pic of ur cutoff,

reflectors flat out SUCK for HIDs, u will get pulled over and every other driver will 1. be pissed of at you and 2. scream ricer out there window to u.

They provide better light output than reflectors, and avoid blinding oncoming drivers. THEY ARE BETTER!!!! hands down.

i hate the projectors for this car
all of them look ricetastic and aren't worth ****
the only way to go is retrofit if you want projectors imo

what it should look like

to be honest i think ebay projectors arent really for HIDs as they're designed for halogens in the first place, so theres really only one right way for hids which is retrofit

oh i just noticed you bought the 50w ballast too. those things are super bright so be really careful with the aiming. they could be super blinding if it glares
