Man , finally got a break from work to take some pics .

I picked up some Ion redline recaro's and GM aluminum pedals .



...and took the badges off the doors and painted headlight housings flat black .



the rest of the new pics are in my sig .


What do u all think ? I wasnt to sure about the blue insert recaro's in my silver car . After seeing it , I absolutely love it . Even more so than the grey mesh Cobalt recaros . No SS embroidery , but no lost love there either .

Very nice! The seats, can't say pedals do anything for me. THose seats look like they might work on a granite blue car.

 

Sweet! I had no idea that they made RL Recaros with blue inserts. Too bad the blue doesn't look like it'd match my interior :-(

 

Paint all your dash trim to match and it'll look sick

 

ive noticed you have your sunglasses in the back cup holder... just thought that was kinda funny, cause I keep mine there too.

And did those seats fit right onto the stock rails?

Very awesome!! I had no idea the ION recaros would fit right. Guess I'll have to try and get those since the cobalt ones are impossible to trade with anyone.

Haha , thats where my hands ended up going with the glasses , ya know since there all kinds of places to store things in the Cobalts

 

Yeah , the Ion seats are exact same as the cobalt seats less the SS embroidery and the color of the mesh . I was happy to see the Ion ones even had the silver stitching in the leather

Try car-part.com . It s a search engine for salvage yards throughout the US . Ive used it with LOTS of luck with the my F-body projects . Some recaro's will definetly show up there eventually , if there isnt already .

 

did you have recaros from the factory?
and if so, are you selling them

 

I don't find those seats as near as attractive as the OEM 3SC's... to each his own

 

from that picture it looks like the headlights are smoked

 

I just had the factory issue leather man .

The lights look smoked as a result of their being nothing for the reflectors to reflect light off . At times the entire headlight looks completely black .

 

was waiting for someone to use the ION recaros... love them they would look good with a car that had blue inserts

how much did you pay for the recaro's?

 

$510 on ebay . It was the absolte perfect situation , hehe . Auction ended at a odd time , like 3 pm on a workday ( tuesday ) and STUPIDLY , there wasnt any reserve . I was about laughing when the auction ended as these seats were brand new , and their $1100 per seat new and their virually non-existent used . CHING!!!!

question for you SilverSS/SC or anyone who painted their headlights....

do you notice your lights aren't as bright or anything since they are painted? i would really like to do this but i am worried that they are as functional and safe as they look, because they look bad ass

 

I didnt have any dimished light output or changed beam pattern at all . The light on the raod at night looked the same as if the it were still chrome . If u do a search , youll find alot of other members will say the same thing .

 

i keep my sunglasses in the little door for the trunk popper
