The New Project Begins!

Well its Rainy Season Here, So its time to start the New Round of Mods! I just Installed My shaved Door Kit, The Autoloc svpro5 system with 10 channel remote! The Pull force is 50lbs & I relocated the Motors under the seat's! It works Great, The Only problem I had was No cable Ends! So I went to the Local Bike store & Bought some Brake Cable adjustment's & Mounted them to a L bracket as seen in Pics Below, Problem Solved!
Tomorrow my car is going to the Painter>> Hint on Paint Job is>>>>Airbrush Artist>>Who Paints for OCC of South Florida>>> That Has a shop here in Ft Lauerdale!
Here is a link to some of his work! http://yekdesigns.com/ Make sure to just click the 1st Page then upper right has the selections.

Updated Pics of the Metal work on the outside of the doors!
They finished cutting & replacing the Metal in the doors & Now they just have to smooth it out real good! Next week they should start Painting Woohoo!

This 1 is before Grinding the Welds!

Kit

L brackets in Door

L Bracket & Motor under the seat!

Final without the seat

Final with the seat, You can't see any of it!

By Remote which activates the Motor in the Pics above which in return Pulls the cable, Unlatching the Door & it Pops open! Very easy system actually, But not Cheap for the good 1s! Not to mention the Body work!

it has its own remote right? I have a 2-way security system installed, so would i unlock the car with that, then use the other remote to pop the door actually open?

The system I bought can be adapted to your exisiting 1 , So you use only 1 remote! Mine has 10 channels to run 10 different things! Like the Power windows, Alarm & so On!

It should be able to run it they have 16 Channel remotes to. The system I got is around $450 with every thing you need besides the Brake Cable adjustments!

WOW... thats alot of extra work that really wasn't needed.... you could have mounted the solenoid inside of the door, wired it up and ran the wires through the molex plug and saved money on the bike parts, the extra wire loom through the door jamb, not to mention the amount of time it took..... Don't get me wrong... it looks really good, but that was a **** load of unneeded work... And to put a 50lb solenoid under your seat, that thing must sound like a shotgun every time you open the door....
as far as the other questions, most higher end alarms have extra channels built in for just this kind of thing... and Protocol carrys a 35lb door kit with everything for around $150and Autoloc's 35lb. kit is $250 ... not too expensive

Was easy a hell, You have to either run the wires to the soleniod or run the cable to the soleniod, So either way! But I ran the cable thru the same boot you are talking about & the Bike Parts were 6 Bucks!
I didn't have to use the extra wire Loom, I sent it Back! There is only 1 wire running thru the door!
The Popping sound isn't that bad at all, The carpet Muffles the sound & 35 Pounders are great if you Mount it in the door!

Update on Doors, The doors are done & Painted yellow again! The Body Guy did a Awesome job welding in the new Metal & Smoothing them out, You would never Know the Door Handles were there! The Art Work Starts Tuesday & Should be done by the end of the week, If I can get some Shots of some of it without Giving it away I'll Post up a Few! But either way it will be done towards the end of the week & I'll be able to take shots of the whole car! Woohoo
I can't wait to get my car Back, It is driving me Crazy!

the expensive part of doing this isn't buying the kit, it's the body work in removing the door handles

looks nice, should be sweet in the end
