NEW Seibon CF Hood!!!

Yo,

I contacted Seibon in regards to them making a hood for us cobalts. They said they are interested and want to know what kind of hood everyone wants. I was going to make a poll but I think if everyone that contributes posts a pic of the hood they like or post a detailed description that will work better. As well I think are best bet is to find a hood they already make and ask them to fit it for a cobalt. I will wait till the thread has become useful and than email them back with the style that majority of ppl are interested in.

lol kinda like what i posted? it would blow right on the supercharger to keep it cool and exhaust a ton of heat from most of the rest of the engine bay. see post #4, the front of the hood is facing up.

We dont need anything with a huge cowl, they look rice, big time. I'd like functional hood with vents in it. I like BadG1rl's hood:

I also need heat extractors, with also some near the windshield to help extract the heat from turbo sort of like on the newer 500 mercedes. A strong looking hood is cool to look at but if I need to choose, cool running > cool looking.

Can we only pick from the styles they have here:

(click "Submit" with everything set to "view all")

or can we reccomend other styles?

Personally I'm a fan of their "TS" style hood like this one:

No Im sure they could do anything, but like I mentioned we might have more luck picking a style they are familiar with.

Exactly my need and if I can't get a c\f one I will either have to go fiberglass or customize the stocker(least favorite choice)

I am so with you on that. this hood has to be functional and so I am good with additional cooling, cheating the wind (provides air going in a nice place to flow out, and improve high speed stability. its like a wing on the front of your car as well less air going under the car. I could be wrong but that is IMO.
