The CCFL's take some time to "warm up". Mine did the same thing, but then they went white....just have to be patient.

Well I will tell ya that I can sure see the signs on the side of the road a LOT better then the old projectors. Yes the cut off looks like ****......but it definitely helps out when reading signs.

Yeah true. I just need more time to aim them, which I did not have this time down in Calgary.

My HID's are 6000K...as stated in my signature.

They are pretty bright....and I get good distance out of them as well. Any higher and people seem to find that you lose the distance on the lights.

How was output with the halogens?

Also you prolly have a weird cutoff due to the fact that they are halogen projectors and a HID bulb is longer...

The output with the halogens was pretty good considering they were halogens. The HID bulbs are not that much longer then the halogens. The cutoff was pretty much the same as the HID's.

Sweet, I really don't feel like messing around with HID's yet...even though I have ballasts sitting around...

It is definitely worth it for the look of HID's and the light output is a lot better with the HID's.

Was the cutoff better though? Closer to the older projectors?

All I have to do is order the H7 bulbs and I will be set...how did you have to modify them again?

Nope.......about the same.

I didn't actually. I just really made sure the rubber cover was on properly, and it has not moved since. The only "modification" I made was a slight cut to the bottom of the cover to put the wires through for the HID lamps.

I will be making a write up shortly though for the install.

Check it :

http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html

About half way down they show a PERFECT cutoff......and oddly enough it looks just like mine do. Hmmm.......wierd. LOL

Mine need some minor adjusting.......but sure does look like the good cutoff to me.

I wrote up a "How To" for the new projectors......just have to wait for it to get approved. Make sure to look for it!

the example of the perfect cut off from that website is with just the driver headlight in...do you have both headlights in the picture or just one?

I have both in. At a distance your beams should meet and look like one beam, that way you do not get any shadows in the distance with the lighting.

I think that is most likely a manufacturing error.... and a big one at that! I suggest you call them and be like " &**" give me a damn passenger replacement!"
