i use to talk so much **** bout the nightshade cause it would start to fade and look trashy but someone on here told me to put clear coat over it and that should help, only time will tell

I've done about 5 sets of tails locally. I've been dubbed the RattleCan King (I branched out and started to do interior trim color matched too)
I usually use 2-3 light coats of VHT with 3-5 coats of clear and Meguiar's Polishing Compound.

take pics at a different angle. id like to see them. those are probablly the best set of night shades ive seen period. personally it screws your light output a lot more then using real paint.i can go a lot darker with paint then people can with nightshades and still be able to see from the legal limit here in illinois....... these are cell phone pics and un edited in any way.

Night shades I have seen come out ok and bad depending on who did the. Whenever I tint taillights for the cars I paint I usually used Dupont snap dry clear with baseboat blk added how much depends on the customers needs. Light to as dark as the car but visibility is better than the nighshades. Also if you lay 2 normal coats of clear on top you can wet sand and buff for a perfect shine and gloss. Look into have a shop do it if you wwant a pro job. Not sure what others charge I do tails for between $50 to $100 depending on the style. Extra if I have to take them on and off. I have also done headlights light tint and tails and side markers on a silver 99 Z28 looked sick as hell especially compared to hid yukon he used nightshades on. Nightshades can look good if you prep well and take your time.

It's all in prep and finish. If you do it right aka, sand, paint, wetsand, repeat, clear, ect, they will look amazing. If you just paint and that's all, they'll look like ****.
