If you're going to do your headlights and still would like to be able to see at night...I would advise these:

http://www.lamin-x.com/Chevy-Cobalt-...rs-p/ch016.htm

And go with the "tint" color...not gun-smoke. (there's a thing near the bottom that shows all the different variations)

My personal experience with nite shades is that it's not worth it, it will never look nearly as good as having a profesional tint shop put on a smoked film over your taillights/headlights. I followed the nite shades how-to's to the T and I got the perfect level of darkness but no matter how much wet sanding/polishing I couldn't get them to be a really nice gloss. After atempting the process twice I took my car to a tint shop in town and had all 7 rear lights done for $75 looks fantastic and the shine is awesome.

they look darker than they actually were, but thats because its well...dark haha. and the second one is in a shadow. but it really didn't effect light output very much.

Looks good, is that nite shades or a tint film?

Yes you can remove nite shades it's just a pain in the ass. After I finished mine and realized I didn't like it at all I wet sanded all the color of with a 600 grit then moved to a 1000 then a 1500 then a 2000 and then polished them, looked as good as new when I was done but like I said it is a pain in the ass.
