Nightshades on G5 GT
Nightshades on G5 GT
I finally was able to put on the nightshades on my car(humidity has been to high)
here are some pics;
here is the before or stock

here is the after one shade

pic with 2 shades on the car day time

pic of the 3rd brake light with 2 shades

pic of the side markers with 2 shades, lights off and lights on

here is pic with 2 shades on the car, notice how the reflectors still work fine

here is a pic of the brakes applied at 15 feet

lights on at 15 feet

lights on 45 feet

brakes applied 45 feet(coming soon)
pics during the day;
3rd brake light

Lights off

Lights on

Brakes applied 15 feet

Brakes applied 45 feet

This was an actually easy process and makes the car look alot better. I do reccomend putting clear on to give it more of a glossy look. One shade its still glossy but after the seond(or more if want to be that dark) it starts to go flat.
What do you guys think? More pics are coming, i need to get batteries for the camera.

VHT, a spray
I'll wait until you get better pics, but I personally prefer the idea of vinyl cause you can take if off anytime you want..
but sadly noone has been interested in lending their car to the guy who could've made the product for us (bluebatmobile)

yeah vinyl will work, but will get expesive after a while if you take them off alot. this only cost me 30 bucks. 25 for the niteshades and 5 for the clear. I like it because it gets rid of the nasty glare that blocks the actual light out put when the sun hits it. I drove around with it today and it looked alot better and made the car look cleaner
i dont have clear on the big lights only the markers and 3rd and they look alot better. Im gonna put clear on the other 2 and it will lokk alot better. If you only use one coat you still have the smooth and clear look to them, just darker. When you put the 2nd coat it start to go flat fast, but the clear will take most of it away. I still like it, especially on the darker cars. The lighter cars i would only use one coat.
im still deciding on the reverse lights, maybe 1 coat
thank you

yeah you can special order it thru some part stores or performance shops. i just live far away from part stores and it wasnt conveniant(sp) for me. it cost the same to drive out twice order/pick up the can for most people(s/h vs gas)
update
finally got some time, im in the process of clear coating the lenses now and wow is that a huge difference. Pics will up tomorrow since its to dark now. No more flat look, definatly has a glossy look to it
looks good bro...i dont know if someone else mentioned it cause i didnt feel like reading lol...but did you clear coat them? if not i heard that the shade will just wear off in time.
