Niteshades, check it out!

I just did my corner lights and 3rd brake light with niteshades, i definitely love it!

i did the rear corners with 3 light coats, and 3 clear coats
the 3rd brake light is 1 thicker coat, with 3 coats of clear on
pictures were taken at right about dusk
visibility is great in both day and night, no noticeable loss of light

opinions/feedback welcome, as well as any questions you might have

Nice work, I have been waiting to post some pics of doing the tail lights and how many coats they used. Looks pretty transparent, exactly what I was hoping for.

i think i used dupli-color?
it doesnt really matter tho

if you look at biohazard's car, he has all the red parts of the tailights tinted
looks great, but its not somethin i would wanna have

thanks

by the way, the 1 thicker coat looks as dark as the 3 light coats, but it shows through a lot better
so if you wanna do it, id say try to put it on a little thicker if you want that

Looks nice. I have a yellow and I want to do the same. I originally wanted to go clear, but my friend kicked me in the ass and told me it is rice.

i don't know
they still show up pretty much as bright as before
the stuff is removeable, so if I had to, I could remove it.
but i guess it's one of those things that a cop could write you up for if he really wanted to
but its not like its gonna attract cops or anything

the 2000ish grand am's had darker tinted looking tailights stock, so i dont think these look too much different

-Illegal brake lights. Brake lights on vehicles newer than 1979 must be red (24603 VC). (Vehicles older than 1979 may be red or yellow.)
-Lack of rear reflectors. Two red reflectors are required on the rear of cars and trucks (24607 VC).

-Tail lights that are too dim, washed out or show yellow, white or other colors (24600 VC).
Illegal color of side marker lights. If present, must be yellow in the front and red in the rear (25106, 24003 VC).
-Driving with just parking lights on (24800 VC). Vehicles that have factory-installed automatic daytime running lights must meet federal requirements and are legal.
-Illegal decorative lights (24003 VC). All flashing decorative lights are illegal (25250 VC).
-Illegal windshield washer nozzle lights. Only white or yellow are allowed. (25106 VC, 24003 VC).

What took you so long?

Where does it say tinted lights are "definently illegal in california"?? It says, "Tail lights that are too dim", that is subjective, meaning that it isn't set in stone.
