No armrest for manual trans cobalts?

I been looking for a armrest for ever I think they are only for the automatics. does anyone know if there is any out there for the manual transmission cobalts? I'm tired of laying my wrist on the shifter lol.

Mine has one! None of the SS/SC came with them I think. I believe that you can buy one and put it in though.

You can just order the one for the automatic from the dealer in the color you want.
It fit quite well from what I seen other thanthe parking brake will be under it.
Up here I think they were Approx $100.00 in the states probably $70.00.
There is a how to on it ,Try searching it on here .

I jsut got one for my manual tranny car, best thing I ve bought for the car so far. Do a google search for "fred bean parts" and you ll find the best place to purchase gm oem parts. I got my armrest for 70 shipped from them.

Here is a thread with pictures for both seat option with the SS/SC. I put one in and it was awesome. I got mine from http://www.crateenginedepot.com I love it being in there. It made the ride that much more comfertable.

I bought mine 3 days after i got my ss/sc. they work in all cobalts. you just have to make the parts guy order it. (mine did not want to order it for me because it said auto only)

is it just a matter of snapping it in or is there more advanced work like drilling or anything?

no drilling, just wiggling. they want you to take out the entire consol. I just undid the bolts in the middle, so i could pull up on the consola nd slip in the arm rest.

It bolts into a stock location using existing bolts. It's easy to do, and well worth the $80 and the time.

Mine came with it, and I don't know hwo I would managae w/o it! Great investment if you don't have one!

And the e-brake doesn't really get in the way, just move the armrest/tilt it backwards, and pull the e-brake!

you just need your woman to give ya some road head. that in turn makes her back a nice armrest..

lol I don't like mine much...but don't feel like taking it out. Everytime I have it down it feels uncomforatable to shift...but when it's up I keep hitting my funny bone when shifting into 2nd or 4th...of course it could be just me. And the whole ebrake thing...who ever came up with that idea is an idiot...I'm sure on an auto it doesn't really matter since your rarely use your ebrake...but on a manual...the arm rest does seem to get in the way a lot...and if its up all the time it just defeats the purpose of an "arm" rest.

I love my armrest. It was the first mod to my car a few days after I bought it. Don't regret it at all.

Getting an armrest keeps slipping my mind. I've wanted one for a while now, but never got around to it yet.

I dont see why you would want an armrest honestly. I had one in my eclipse and i really dont realize i dont have on ein the cobalt ss/sc Plus the Recaro seats kinda make it feel weird putting your hand in that position

I think it would be nice for long drives. I catch myself with my hand sittin on my leg cause I have no where else to put it, guess if I had a girl sittin next to me I would have a better place. Hmmm...Work in progress. lol...

But I don't really want one. I don't ever say "man I wish I had that srmrest!" I don't even think about it now that I've gotten used to it.
