So I just went out and looked at my mirrors and realized "Hey, i've seen that hinge before and always thought it looks like it should fold. But NEVER have I ever tried to fold them. I always thought that was an interesting design to make the mirror look like it should fold but I have never folded it."

WHAT?!?!?!?! The mirrors fold? I never knew that and I've had my car for almost three years. THe only time my mirror folded was when I was backing up and accidently caught the mirror on something, and it folded foward. I was scared as ****, and folded it back no problem. But now I'm here finding out that they actually fold, both ways too...Well I'll be damned..

The point of folding mirrors is for situations when you need to squeeze the car into a tight spot such as a one car garage or if somone hits it or you accidentally hit it on somehting its not as likley to break off

bingo, plus its helpful when you go through the scratch & shine car wash so they dont rip off your mirrors
