probably, I run into that problem alot. Ive used 6 coats of the satin black, with 4 coats of clear and mine was chiping 3 weeks later. Good thing its easy enough to go back over.

 

Yeah... mine was a DIY job in my garage... not a paint shop. Looks like we'll have to touch up come spring eh?

I was at a car show a few weeks ago and some guys have those leather car bra things and they put them on to drive around, and take them off to show. Kind of extreme I thought. BTW it was on one of those new T-birds

 

swapping bumpers takes 10 freaking minutes! It's literally held up by 2 bolts and a bunch of push pins and screw ... lol

Paint it flat then, still gives it a little something different.

 

I don't plan on doing this on my car, but I really like this mod. The only thing I am not to wild about is when people paint the fog light indentions, IMO its just distracting and takes away from the look. I would like to see a full and better pic of a black car with this done in flat black. It won't stand out as much as the others but will give a nice, subtle, cool look.

you are taking the mod the wrong way.....Its called what it is because of the paint scheme on the lip not because people want to "look" like an evo. like I said it resembles it.

I told you why its called the "evo mod" because of the lip being painted in a similar fashion to the evo 10. No one is ganna change the name just because some evo owner thinks it has nothing to do with evos. me posting those pics does not prove your point in any way. It shows you (what you cant comprehend) that the lips are painted in a similar manor.

I personally think the mod is gay. And gives people with evo's another thing to laugh about the cobalt...trying to be like their car.

 

Is there any other car that has the bottom lip painted black like that? I mean we could call it the "bottom bumper lip painted black in the middle" mod since the guy with the evo thinks we are trying to make our cobalts into evo's. Or we can just keep calling it the evo mod, because there's nothing truely wrong with calling it that
