putting newpaper on takes all of 10 minutes, and even if you take the bumper off you still need to tape off and cover the parts that arent painted to protect from overspray

Just did mine, took off the bumper - it was so much easier to work with it that way:

Did the fog lights too since I didn't think it had continuity.

Removing bumper:

- take out the headlights, remove one bolt near the wheel well,
- remove 3 screws on the right side underneath the bumper, 2 on the left side (7mm)
- remove all of the top clips and front support bracket
- unplug fog lights
- remove bumper

as Hatrickstu said, takes literally 10 minutes.

yeah, I was 50/50 on the fogs too. No changing it now. I like it IMO though.

I think on red it looks good. Not too sure how it would look on other colors though.

I was gonna paint from one fog light all the way to the other......no paint on lip.

I think I wanna do a wrap on my car of giant ECO engine mechanical drawings. Ive been wanting to do that for a loooooooong time, just not to my DD.

So one of my only concerns are is anyone worried about rock chips down there since its not a factory paint will it not chip probably pretty easy???
if you do it right it shouldn't chip, by prepping the bumper correctly and cleaning it, i did mine with about 5 coats of paint, and 8 coats of non-luster clear, and i haven't had it chip yet. Its been on the car for about 2-3 months i also do a lot of freeway driving, mine has yet to chip...

hat's right it really easy to do, it only took me about 10-15mins to take my bumer off when i did it.

yea i have a feeling my front lip is gonna hold up better then the rest of my bumper down the line. I really wanna get my whole bumper repainted and cleared so I dont have to worry about it chipping or anything if I ever go to a carwash down the line. The height different in the paint on the lip to the rest of the bumper will NOT hold up well to any form of pressure washer lol. And thats fine when i was my car, but right now its at the dealer getting brakes done and if they give me a complimentary car wash...forget about it
