patience and time. I was so **** when taping mine off. I used think painter's tape and pulled on it real hard as I was going around the curves.
The hard part is making sure the lines are coming out on the same angle and measuring the same distance when going onto the front lip.
I was even MORE **** when did the fog lights. Measured 4 1/4" on each side from the lower grille opening.

i HATED taping that curve. and i still have a tiny overspray is where the bump comes to a 90* angle from the bumper to the bottom lip. I taped it real good and pushed the tape in that crevice with a flathead but somehow it just got in their. Not a big deal, i can probobly take a razor and make it perfect. but its something i barely even notice. but yea its a pain in the ass to tape that

I saw on an srt4 forum where some guys are doing it to their neon. Maybe that'll give you some ideas.

Your CSRT4 is easier though since it's just a lip with no openings.

Exactly why painting this kinda **** sucks. Best way to do it is to reclear the entire bumper so its all level, and also a big reason why i sanded. I figured if I lowered the surface where im going to paint, then the difference in the end wouldnt be as drastic. I wound up putting so much paint on to keep it from chipping it still sits at a big height difference. I am delicate on it 4 damn sho

Vinyling is more of a PITA to install than you might think. I'm good with vinyl, but with all of the openings on the cobalt lip, it just wasn't worth it to me (too much cutting for the small "pillars", etc.).

You and I went the same route with paint, I did about 4 layers probably (mind you engine enamel is thicker) as to not get any rock chips. I know I'm gonna be pissed when that first big bug splats on it.
Re-clearing the entire bumper was wayy too much time for me to invest. Plus, the probability of me not getting the bumper 100% as it was stock was greater. I chose the quicker and "safer" route.
Any "sign" vinyl will work perfect as it's meant to withstand the weather.
here's a good site: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...num=4&ct=image
click on new products and then down to high performance vinyl
3m makes some good vinyl..... edit, they stopped making vinyl

the problem is the 4 holes that are in the cross bar over the grille. No matter how many different badges you select, at least one or 2 of the holes will show. It's up to you though.

the holes do suck, ive seen where sum1 blacked out the bowtie and then painted the ss on it, looked pretty sweet
after I put the LNF grilles in mine, Im going to paint he bowtie black with red around it, and possible have sum1 do caligraphy on the bowtie itself
l8r,

Has anyone done a silver evo mod on a black SS yet?? Im considering doing just under the lower grill, not the fogs, and not the bar on the upper grill. Please post pics if anyone has done this! thanks!
