Post pictures of your window tint on your Cobalt. Please include what percentage the tint is.

 

20% on the sides, 5% on the rear window (don't ask. the tinting place fucked up.) getting 35% on the windshield in a few weeks.

 

15% i think the cops meter was off she read 11 or 12 you can just make me out during the day but night you cant see

 

I want 20% again. I had it twice on my 2.4L. I switched over to 30% after being pulled over twice for the 20%. It's a really frustrating ordeal if you get caught with illegal tint in Maryland. BUT, my 2.4L was hit broadside and totaled. Moving on to bigger and better things, I'm picking up a White SS/TC this weekend and 20% will stick out like a needle in a haystack. I'll probably stick with 30% again.

I meant to ask you who did your retrofits?

^^I was the same way with 20%. California is strict with tint aren't they? If I'm not mistaken, you can't have any tint other than the OEM tint that comes on the car, correct?

 

Yup you can't have any tint on the front side windows, the rest is fair game. You can't see me at all when it's dark out.

I was coming down towards an intersection and was in the right lane to turn on a major highway. While driving in the turn lane to come up to the intersection, a old 83' truck on the opposite side of the road decides to cut across traffic backed up at the light of the intersection to turn into a gas station and hits me broadside as I'm coming down the turn lane.

 

Ooouuucchh that sucks

 

It does. That was my first car. A lot of **** went down in that thing. TOO many memories to ever forget. I kissed it goodbye when I was cleaning it out yesterday before it was taken to the junk yard.

It's alright though, I'm picking up a White SS/TC this weekend.

8% all around, cops around here don't really care unless you give them a reason to pull you over for it. So far i haven't had any problems in the 8 months of having dark tint.... ok pic, just had it sittin around.

Maryland's legal limit is 35% all the way around.

Its *******'s like you that tint your windows so ******* dark that give states even more reasons why to give tint tickets. 5% is dark enough for window tint and the fact you think you need to tint this dark is just ******* ignorant.

20% film, which is now only on the back 3 due to living in a town where the cops pull people over for miniscule things (like tint) to collect overtime.

I got FL plates but I'm stationed in VA where they are a bit strict on the tint. Best thing is when the MP's pull me over to try and ticket me for tint and I ask, "Well, SGT do you have a device to check the tint?"
SGT says, "No, but I know it's illegal." "Well, then SGT if you can't check it you can write me a citation but I'll take it to court and it'll be throw out soooo..." Lol. As far as local police, they never bother looking up FL tint laws so when I point out my plates, they let me off with a warning and tell me to watch myself. So, due to the law enforcement around here not being able to nab me, I plan on tinting my new balt with 20 all around cept the windsheild. It's gonna look sexy with Victory Red.
