wanted to go to speedtek today because itslike the only good performance parts store so far in texas nearby(anyone know anything better that carries more? dfw area)
i called first and they said they dont carry wings, so i decided not to go.. so i went somewhere else....and i knowi'mgoing to get torched for this one.....i went to pep boys and browsed and saw their crappy wings and didnt get any ....but i did get one thing...

i have one thing to say in my defense....i am not a ricer!! i know the hubcaps areghetto but i wanted to try one and i couldnt just leave one black....i will save up and get rims


**quick edit** my friend and i took 3 hours installing it all...we tried to do it as best as we could, you cant see the bulbs.and instead of using screws we riveted them in

Someone take his keys away from him. This is a guy to that probably will go to car shows and try and win. He is also "that guy" who rev's his engine when he pulls up to a ss/sc.

 

i've allways liked the neon lights, i dont think its a ricer thing. i think your car looks good with the decals and the black wheels, and yes even the neons. the biggest thing i can see that you need to do is lower the car, got way to much wheel gap there. drop it an it'll be lookin smooth dont worry about what a few jerks tell ya, its your car do what you want with it, except put SS decals on it

 

not everyone wants a boreing car that looks like everything out there, cut the guy some slack.

 

I like the neons.. but the side graphics..

Hhmm i guess if you wanted to try it out thats fine. If you don't like it after a while then you could always sell it to someone else. Please please don't buy a wing just save the money for a decent set of rims trust me you will be glad you did that.

this guy just beat me to it, but woith some lowering springs, it wouldn't look as bad. To tell ya the truth, diff color rims, and dropped, and it wouldn't be so bad. my $.02 good luck tho man.

 

you say this but with every mod its becoming hard to believe that.

Afterall you went searching for a wing, you ended up at Pep Boys and then left with some neon lights...then it took you 3 hours to install them. Now I am not big on flaming but that entire day sounds like a ricefest.

 

I wonder if the power drawn from the electrical equipment in order to make them that bright is actually creating a power loss...

I can vouch for this statement, he came by me yesterday on the way home, and did exactly what he just said. Only thing is, I thought the guy in the passenger seat was going to fall out of the car, hanging out and looking back at my car

i think a key step in being a ricer is using a beat up POS Civic or some ****... so to start out with a brand new car is fine.

i havent heard about anyone nutting over that wing... i think its hideous...

 

diff sets of rims and no decals on the sides would make it alright...but why hate on the neons, see plenty of srt 4s, stis, etc with them, Ill probly put some on my SS in the future..
