Operation Retrofit Complete!

After putting it off and getting stuck waiting for parts, not to mention a lack of motivation, for over a month now, I finally finished my retrofits. They're mini H1s with 5000k bulbs, slight color modding, e46 extended shrouds with custom halo, and satin black paint. I'll post up output shots, and better pics, when I get my good camera back, and we get a night not filled with rain. For now I've just got iPhone pics

These look really awesome. Anthracite SS/TC wheels are sweet looking as well!

Thanks! I scared the hell out of myself becauser I though I curbed one of my wheels a few nights ago when I heard a bang noise going around a corner, but it was just my sub sliding around my trunk I need to find a way to hold that thing in place.

Not a problem! I used to have two Kickers back when I had my SS/NA, but I couldn't stand the rattling after 3 days and uninstalled them. Worst purchase I ever made.

On a side note, I need to find someone who makes quality retros for my basic setup.

I do it more or less as a precautionary thing, you never know what can happen.

I may have to give that a shot. I've already tried rubber shelf liner, and that didn't work.

Swap the trunk cardboard out for 3/4" MDF, that's what I had holding my 2 12" pioneers and gigantic box before I traded in my LT. Just peel the insulation and carpet off the cardboard and reattach it to the MDF. Then all ya gotta do is put a couple of 1x1 sticks wrapped in speaker carpet and screw em into the MDF around your box.

Sweet headlights. I need to do this one of these days.

Did you get the morimoto bulbs? That's what I've got in both my headlights and my fogs. Same brand, so they all perfectly color match. They'll get a bit more pure white, and brighter after some use. When I took these pics, they only had about 10 min of use on them.

Every company has different color temps. Our 5k is OEM color. If you want to send us the code on your bulbs we will compare it to our 5k code to make sure its 5k PM us!

Thanks guys, I took some output shots, and got them adjusted. I got the rotation pretty much right when the lenses were off, as close as I'm gonna get. Somehow the passenger headlight has a bit of a cross beam, but I really don't wanna go through taking it apart and trying to fix it. It doesn't really hurt anything.

Low and high comparisons

Color at roughly 40 ft.

Very wide beam

Color Flicker
