Trying to figure out if i should paint my Powell Harness Bar or keep it black to go with the extgerior? If i paint it itll be the CENTER bar only and itll be Laser Blue Metallic.

Unsure if I want to or not.

Thoughts?

 

Post up a picture if you have one, I have never seen one and don't want to give an opinion until I know what it looks like (i'm thinking blue though)!!

 

going with blue would look sporty, black blends in, both good choices lol

 

i would say paint it blue, but it's gonna look weird as **** over the wrinkle texture black.

 

id post a picture but im doing this from my phone. any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. my bar is at the house still in the bubble wrap. black would blend in with the interior and still look nice.

blue would really make it pop, although nothing else in the interior is blue. if anything i might do all the silver trim lbm as well, then it would match. unsure on that one yet tho

If you're painting it you have to sand it anyway, just do a litte more to smooth it out.

 

My bar didn't come with spacers for the top seatbelt mount. Are they missing or are they revised out

 

the one im getting is silver/gray and im gonna get it powdercoated black

i just dunno if i want flat glossy or wrinkle hmm i dont wanna do red cause theres no red on my interior

 

the top seat belt mount has spacers already, unless you dropped them inside the B pillar lol

Painting bar come spring. Installed today tho. Very nice piece minus one side of the cross bar was welded crooked but I had a dum dum to help me

 

? its important to start all bolts and not tighten them until all are started. its also important to install the cross bar correctly as it is jigged to fit when welded....send pics if there is something not correct so we can understand it. I have installed dozens of them and all went smoothly except i tried to install matty O's cross bar wrong way up....

 

was it crooked or bent? UPS dropped mine but a 5lb hammer and a block of wood fixed it right up

well when we did it you had a little too much wine that night hahaha and it was like midnight. all went well i corrected you hahaha. john and i did one of these together at ced. went VERY SMOOTH

 

matches the interior damn near perfect. no one really notices mine till they actually look. blends so well.
