Painted/moved bowtie
I painted the bowties dark grey to match the powder coated wheels. I removed the back bowtie and readhered it over the keyhole. I'm thinking I might need to repaint them black. Please let me know what you think!

I figured covering the keyhole was no major loss because I have the trunk release on the remotes and the interior release. Also, I only used 3M heavy duty adhesive so it's definitely removable if ever need be. I hollowed out the back of the rear bowtie so that it lays flush with the trunk because the keyhole sticks out a couple mm, which would make the bowtie stick out.
Thanks for the input, I'm still 50/50 on the color, I just think black would really stick out on the back.

Hmmm, I'm kinda mixed on the colors... the grey is a good match for the rims, but I think black would look sharp with the red... and covering up the keyhole is a GREAT idea ftw

Also, I think they grey bowtie on the back looks great, but I'm not sure on the front... But anyway, good work.

Thanks for the props. I definitely like the back bowtie, but the front looks a little out of place. The back bowtie was fairly easy to hollow out. It's a gridded solid plastic, not completely solid. It only took me about 10 minutes.

Looks awesome!
But you do realize if your battery goes dead, you can't get into the trunk to get your jumper cables. Might wanna tuck those under the front seat.

Whoops Durr , needs to learn to read.

Umm the trunk release is electric was my point, its not cable release. But then i saw that about the 3m tape i guess the key can do double duty as a pry stick and a key.
What i was saying about the jumper cable i also forgot the Jump points are underhood the Positive pole on top of the fuse box.
My senerio was on the side of the road or parking lot with no jump box and the cables in the trunk, youd have to pry off the badge to get in there. Though rare and few and far between, never the less.
Now you could be really slick and get one of those hinges off an old caprice where it rotates up and out of the way, thatd be the shizzle. Don't mind my banter im just being a post ***** craving attention of the internets.
Still looks hot anyways.

I don't like the thought of black or the grey i would paint it red and leave the silver trim. give the bowtie a sleeper look. I hate the trunk key hole they need to stop putting them on cars. they are no longer useful!

Yeah I know what you mean. I thought about all of this before I went ahead and did it. I guess I'm not too worried about it because I can always take it off. But hey...doesn't the balt have fold-down backseats?? I'm pretty sure they do so that would be an option. I thought about trying to find a way to make the bowtie swivel, that would just be plain sexy but I couldn't think of a good way without drilling a hole in the trunk and I sure didn't want to do that!
Thanks for your opinion. I thought of that also but wasn't too into that idea. Feedback/ideas = ALWAYS WELCOME!
