I used the G2 Caliper paint. It is an epoxy that you brush on. I got some foam brushes to apply it.

I like the red because that is traditionally the color for the high performance cars...I know yellow is used too, but I wanted something that will stand out a bit...

Thanks!

I'd recommend doing this to anyone who wants to finish off the look of their car. I think it really makes it look like a higher end car...

I also got some high temperature silver Rustoleum and did the rotors...covered up that ugly primer that was beginning to chip...I also tried to get the edges of the rotors....we will see how it lasts, but it looks amazing right now...the paint is good up to 1200 degrees F.

I also got some underbody spray to cover up the yellow in the wheel wells...pretty simple and helps to make it look nice....

Also Scotchguarded the interior...1 can of carpet Scotchguard and 1 can of auto Scotchguard...

I have the same car as the OP except its 09..... I wanted to paint my calipers.. but instead.. I was thinking of painting them yellow and turning the "Brembo" text Black. To much? Opinions pls.

No offense to the OP.. but I don't see Red matching that well with our awesome Rally Yellow! Looks good, but just not for me.

The only color accents that I think looks good with a primary of Yellow is black.

Anyone else think of any colors that I may be overlooking that go good with Rally Yellow? I am not just talking about calipers, but in general.

I was thinking of turning the SS badges black and what not.

Navy or any of the darker shades of blue go good with yellow.
Now navy blue with the Brembro written in yellow would look sick IMO.
The problem is Brembro's come in red, so if they match or not red is what you should paint them

Calipers look great! Going to do same thing to mine. Hopefully they dont rust to heck in winter. Can you imagine having rusty brembo calipers. Would have been nice if logo was engraved, could paint over whole thing then.

i think they should be gold or red from the factory. im not really liking the stripe, but it does look like you did a good job painting them. i dont want to cover the brembo text either, so im just going to leave them alone.

looks odd with the black stripe. kinda makes it look like it's a sticker or something.

you did a good job on the painted part though.

You could make that argument for any performance car that has painted calipers...look at the ZR1...how many of the paint colors match that ugly blue?

The bottom line is that red calipers mean performance...end of story...

did you use paint on caliper paint, or did you spray them?

Looks awful imo. You should have painted all of the caliper and got a new brembo decal.....

They don't use decals. It's painted on. There's no depth to it either, so it'd make it hard to repaint. Does anybody know where I could maybe get a stencil or get one made? I'm thinking of just painting the whole thing and then maybe going back and painting the logo and wording back on there. It just seems trying to mask it off perfectly and then keeping from messing up the logo and wording would be very hard in this case.

Just paint over it, go to a local vinyl shop and tell them to make you a white brembo decal. Thats what they get payed to do

You would have to be an artist to get in there with the red...the silver Brembo logo is just painted on...

I think it looks nice and clean just leaving the whole front black...
not really just tape over it and with a razor trace out the brembo logo and peel off the rest

once ur done jus peel off the tape thats ON the brembo logo and done!
