Painting SS Grills

Hey there

Been thinking i might like the look better if i was to paint my Grill Inserts and maybe front bumper grill

Im sure many of you have done this

Any good tips?

Pics?

Best paint?

i used windex to clean them.

then krylon fusion paint. here is a pic, but its hard to tell

i have the ss grille and painted it black. brand new out of the plastic just sprayed it with krylon fusion.
looks good and held up awesome. i did 2 of them so i know it lasts good if done this way

I did mine in flat black. But honestly, I don't think you can really tell if you paint it glossy or flat to tell you the truth.
Like mentioned before, I did mine in Krylon Fusion Flat Black.

i did my front grille in black and rear bumber inserts. i also removed my side mirrors.. taped off the painted part of my side mirrors and painted the greyish plastic black. looks alot better for only spending 10bucks max on paint

I like the silver metallic but I don't think it'd look nearly as good on my ss/sc grill.

i just got sum rustoleum black plastic paint and painted mine. all i did was wipe them down with degreaser, washed them and dried them good, then applied a coat or two. so far, looks great and no issues, highly recomended

I prepped it with degreaser and painted with Fusion Krylon Plastic paint. Came out awesome!!

might want to use a plastic adhesion promoter. that way it doesn't start chipping and peeling off down the road.

I had some gloss black tremclad in a bucket leftover from when I did the shed, I just dipped a thick stucco roller in there an rolled my grilles black, its only lumpy when you look at them up close, but from about 20ft away they look great
