whaaat? U are generally right, but not here. The spring determines ride height, be it base , SS or anything in between on Cobalt. This is because the strut tower and the strut spring seats are 100% identical in fixed location on all the Cobalts, therefore the Pedders will drop all cars the same. As with any diferent spring from stock base.

FYI the ss/sc and ss/tc are trimmed 10mm and 20 mm lower than stock base respectively.

The only reason why ls/lt Balts sit higher then ss is because from the factory ss springs are shorter then base model springs , so if u take a base model and a ss
Model and sit them both on, let's say Pedders, then ground to fender clearance on both cars will be the same, since there both on the same springs

Dunno.

But I've seen my car sitting next to Brags car. Both on FE5 shocks/struts/Pedders. Mine is still lower, at least from a purely visual standpoint. I'm pretty sure we are saying the same thing. Pedders lower both cars the same, a base model will still be higher up than a SS when both have the same springs.

If both cars are going from stock the Pedders will lower the base
Model more then an ss model due to the fact that the base
Model was sitting higher in the first place.

I don't know why but it always appeared that my rear was slightly higher, and I have all the lips too. Could just look that way because of different wheels.

Well that's another story all together which brings me back to why Pedders are overpriced and not worth the 400 dollars,

I had my rear springs tested by John Powell and from one side to the other one spring was out 50 lbs to the other which leads me to beleive that whoever makes Pedders springs arnt as diligent as they should be with quality control

So which also leads me to believe that one set of Pedders can infact sit differently then another set of Pedders.

I hope you heard right. I had both sportlines/FE5, sportlines/Konis and I drove several time an SS with Pedders/FE5. Sportlines/FE5 is what I liked more.

sport lines are softer, and ride better over small bumps but the trade off is the bottom out and coil bind much more making a harsher ride on bigger bumps and sacrificed handling.

I've had my Pedders for 3 years now.....Love em.
