pics of your tinted tail lights

iam gettin ready to tint my tail ligts this week i wanna see if anyone does somethin diffrent cuz i cant black all of them out because i live in cali i dont wanna get pulled over so if anyone wants to post some pics so i can get some ideas thanks

I always have been a fan of the reverse lights not being tinted too.

i did i cause thats the only hope i have in seeing through 5% tint in the back while in reverse

it was hard to get a perfect circle but i found a soup can and got some tape and traced the circle, cut it out and put it over the light

all i did was put cover my lights in tape then come back with a toothpick to push the tape in the groove between the red and clear lens the i cut it with a razor.

You can get the VHT Nightshade spray from our vendor: MODERNPERFORMANCE

You can get the clear gloss from anywhere: Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or the Interweb

And i dont understand what you mean by "durable"?

the ouside brake lights have been painted to match the car and the reverse lights are blacked out.

VHT is meant for head/tail light housings. Its supposed to last as long as the car. Stands up to anything. Just as long as you wait till it drys.

so sprya on the nightshade and let it dry for how long? hen you wet sand it with what grit? last you clear coat them, right?

You sand down the parts you want to be sprayed

You apply the VHT

Wait till the first coat is dry (15 minutes or so between coats)

Apply more coats and wait in between till desired color is wanted

Wet Sand it

Apply the clear coat.


I think those are the steps. If anyone has something to change, please correct me. Im tired.

i tinted mine, but there dull... i wanna clear coat em but i dont get how. whats wet sanding?? ( i know newb question)
