Pink theme, help me out.
Alright guys, ya'll are acting silly on here. yes i am a girl!! lol but as to what i want to do to the dash and what not, how do you like get the speedometor to look just like that, i know it's not just LED's because i want it for like the lights on my like where the radio is and everything, but i gotta know!! and pink racing stripes won't look good on a red car guys!!! lol
try autogrrrl.com i believe the site is ...they sell some pink stuff as well and its a site geared toward girls. if i ever get my site off the ground thats similar to the stuff we will offer but they seemed to have a really nice site over there. also girliegirlracing might have some stuff or girlspeed they are the sites i used to visit when i started off modding for help and ideas and such

you might talk to black cat customs (one of our supported vendors) and see if they can help with the gauges... http://www.blackcatcustom.com/

Welcome. It looks like you are looking for enhancing your Cobalts appearance. This thread is better fit for the appearance section. We try to keep the site organized in by posting in the appropriate sections.
Thanks and good luck

I'd say get neons, LEDs, vinyl (door inserts), seat covers/inserts, steering wheel cover, shift knob, pedals. Those would be the options w/out getting too chintzy looking (like painting the dash or anything on the dash).
You're probably going to have to do a lot of custom work. I know a friend of mine who fitted an old "crystal/diamond" door knob as his shift knob. It looked sweet. He also used that fury **** carpet as his roof lining. All supplies that he picked up at Wal-mart and did himself.
that's awesome about the wal mart thing, but the problem is my transmission is automatic so it has that little button you have to push to go down in gears and what not, ya know... and btw guys i am painting the dash pinkreguardless
IMO Pink and red don't go together, i completely understand a girl wanting pink on her car, but pink and red don't go together very well!!!! Red and blue, Red and Black, red and yellow, red and white, red and silver but when i think of red i don't think of pink!!!
Red and black, red and white, and red and silver are sexy!!!!!
you have to get everything custom when it comes to pink!!!! Good Luck

Here is a easy Mod that you can do in Pink!
This is before I stitched the Boot

This is After I did it with yellow in between the 2 Black 1s & this was very easy & all you need is some Pink thread from your Local Arts & Crafts!

She has an automatic, so that easy mod will not work for her!!!!
Very nice btw!!!
Another point i would like to make is if you are planning mods i hope you have friends who can help, because when it comes to mod work can gets very expensive, and if it is done the wrong way it will void your warrenty, this is coming from past expirence!!!!

what kind of things will void the warranty so i can make sure on what to look out for, and i'm only painting the inside of the car pink. I want to paint the outiside black but a whole new paint job can cost a fortune!!!
warrenty is touchy and only applies to the parts associated with whats wrong with the car...for instance, lets say you put and intake on your car and you start experiencing...ehhh...stereo issues...they arent going to void your warrenty over that, the should still replace the speakers etc. ..however...if you start throwing a CEL and your car starts bogging or acting up, they can say its related to the intake and void the engine and transmission part of your warrenty which for most is 5 yrs 100K... but they should still fix other problems covered for the 3 yr 36k bumper to bumper or extended 48 k warrenty. GMPP which is the extended plan they sell through GM is NOT a bumper to bumper warrenty either. it does not cover wear and tear issues nor does it cover window motors, switches, sunroof switches and components and some other parts. so read your paperwork!
essentially a warrenty can be voided for any aftermarket part which is affecting the part which is experiencing the issue or is related to or in conjunction with that part.
if you choose any performance mods,...make sure its easily reversible and REMOVE the parts and replace them with stock before you go to the dealership.
painting things will not void a warrenty...it will only affect the rust warrenty if you paint the outside of teh car or any clips or parts that may snap when removing the interior to paint,
also, if you run at the track...BE CAREFUL,....GM reps in NY have been known to frequent races and will black flag a warrenty completely if you are caught beating on your car. but thats NY ...not sure about anyplace else.
hope this helps...i worked at a dealership a few months.
