make sure u put some type of clear coat over it, plasti dip is a pain in the assss to clean. Stuff just clings to it ... and your white is going to be brake dust central. Just a heads up

if you use tire shine on your tires just wipe a little bit on the plasti-dip and that will give it a little bit of a gloss and keep things from sticking to it better...

With black car, I'd do the wheels black also. just like they said above, the brake dust will be a lot less visible.

Black car with white rims looks good. I want to try it on mine. Too many people have black cars with black rims.

If you do clear, it'll be a B**** to take off... it will come off in small pieces.. If you must, use plasti dip glossifier. Better yet, google dipyourcar.com videos, they have some good pointers and comparisons. They also walk you through how to mask off brakes, how many coats, how thick, and why.

About white rims on black car, I'm not sure how that would look. I might plasti dip my car white one day, and leave the rims black, we'll see how that will look.

It will, it will be harder to peel off, almost defeating the purpose for some.

Have you tried peeling it off since then?

Yeah why don't you just powdercoat them and save yourself all this trouble?

But if you aren't powdercoating and using plastidip, don't use regular clear/glossing coating. That basically defeats the purpose of plastidip. Either use the plastidip gloss or don't clear it at all and just have fun wiping em down and keeping em clean as stated above.
White however would look really nice on a black car with some white accents. In for pics

And OP, I know we already chatted about it but don't let anyone talk you outta white. Its not that hard to clean, sure they get dirty easy but it's a lot better than having black on black like everyone else.
