Plasti-dip valve cover?

Possible? Or does it get too hot? I had my coil pack cover done for a while and it held up great.

Really? You don't buy tools with rubber on them at all?
So you're telling me that you buy, let's say a pair of channel locks. You cut the rubber off the handle so you can have a rougher time turning it just so you can say plasti dip sucks?

..I have absolutely not a single item on my car plasti-dipped on my car. All I asked is if the plasti-dip would withstand being on the valve cover.

Mm, okay, thanks guys. Only reason I ask is I have seen so many things under the hood plasti-dipped and I thought I saw a thread where a guy did the VC but I couldn't find it.

It's rubber actually. Comparable to an undercoating.

plasti-dipped my rims, no problems. love that the brake dust is no longer eating away at my actual rim now if i take a week off from washing the car.

i wouldnt do the valve cover because after you spray it if you have to fasten anything down unless you take precautions the screws or whatnot will pull up the plastidip around it and i dont know if it would be safe for the valve cover because of how hot it gets. my .02

I know I'm kind of new here still but I was wondering if I could make a new engine block using Plasti-dip? I figure, plastic is lighter than metal, and that would help me go faster.

Discuss.
