plz help inside door handle

plz help inside door handle

i took my door handle off inside and cant get the spring back in the right place. so frustrated. the chrome was coming off the inside handle and cutting me lol so i removed it and paint it all black. i should have been paying attention as to where the spring goes but i did not. someone plz help me plz!!! cant use door handles as of today

I had the same problem, I just put it back together without the spring, it doesnt snap back anymore, but im eventually buying new door panels, so whatever for now.

i finally got the springs in the right spot...took me about 20 min in the sun light..never doing anything in the dark ever again!

on the back side of the handle there is a flat part that comes off. you connect the metal cable wire for the door then you can get the spring in there..black one for driver side silver one for passanger side...turn it so the shorter end of the spring lays in that little crach and the longer end pokes into one of those open triangle holes.the spring sits in the middle. not in the bottom or top. but in the middle. once you line it up so its the middle and the shorter end laying in the little crack or groove you should be able to figure it out. without the backside off its impossible. with the backside off..i got it done in 20 min for both sides lol..cake..it just pops off and back on .. let me know how it goes for you

lol, i had no idea it came apart. I was sitting there with needle noses and trying stuff with toothpicks, haha thanks dude.
