i used the belt sander to remove the casting ridges, but it left some pretty deep scars. won't do that on the second one. All sandpaper, with some mother's mag/aluminum polish

Yeah you may not see them but you will know it is there. Now keep them nice and clean, do you have any advise on polishing the valve cover on my SS/TC?

possibly, if i can get the local powdercoating shop to do it. If i can't powdercoat them, probably not.

Yeah, going though all that labor to do that, to get them powder coated clear, would be well worth it IMO. It shouldn't be more than $20 for both. But I am not sure how the factory rubber bushings would hold up to the 400-450 degree temps...

Good point, to be honest, i hadn't really thought that far ahead. Its not to hard to jack the car up though and give it a quick rubdown with the aluminum polish.

i usually pull the wheels off once or twice a month to clean everything under there anyways. One of the downsides to cheap chinese coilovers is that they like to corrode.

Nah just get a nice size mirror about the same width as your front end and just slide it a little under the front youll see them just fine

there's no way, the car is so low, and the 19's fill the wheel well so much, you wouldn't be able to see anything.
