There is a point when too much over powers being clean.

Gary your car looks good, just not a fan of the wing... when you here you should trade rims with me!

I have got a few pm's asking how i got the kicker sub to fit in the stock box AND how it sounds compared to stock.... I'll explain

Stock sub is a dual 2 ohm, so i found a dual 2 ohm cvr that just happened to match the L5 i have which is also a dual 2 ohm. The factory amp is powering the cvr and the L5 is powered by the 300.1. I used a simple tap into the 6x9's and did a high level input on the kicker amp, no line out converter. To be honest the stock sub was more noticable than the kicker, probably because the voice coil is much much larger on the kicker than on the stock sub and im guessing the stock amp isnt able to power it that well. The L5 is just Boomy, i have the remote wire disconnected because i dont like the way it sounds.

And to get the sub to fit in the stock box... For 1 the kicker's magnet was much deeper and hit the backSide of the box SOo i had to cut a hole to let the magnet drop through and then i fiberglassed a dome around the magnet. But before that i had to sand about an 1/8 inch from the opening to get it to fit. There was also allot of plastic fins inside the box i had to snap off.

I did it %100 for looks, not sound quality. I soon hope to get a nice line out converter and run a nice hifonics amp.

New picture with the grill on the L5

thanks, its what i meant by finishing off the rest of the interior, **** its a lot of work

my aim is to finish off the rest in black (base coat) and clear it, even the dash board, giving it that smooth finished look, good side of it is once done ya wax the whole interior,
then when dirty with dust just wipe with microfiber rag

i'll post pictures if i ever get around to it, maybe later this summer, now that i got the yellow turbo to play with

mind you swapping the amp isn't going to make it less boomy
