Powder coated valve cover.

Okay... just thought I'd share.

I got the cover from CED... had it coated overnight by a local shop for $50.

Don't drool too much now.

I'm gonna get it installed over the weekend... I'll have underhood pics then.

The brand new valve cover shipped with a new gasket set was $95... a gasket alone is like $35.

The only reason I got a new cover is b/c the DSLSJA is doing a "hot swap" so we can all get our valve covers done without having any downtime. The other members will all be paying me back to help offset the cost of the cover.

My stock valve cover will be getting coated next... to go to another of our members... then his cover will go... etc... etc.

No no no Snake... it's not that simple.

I just ordered a new valve cover from CED. A local shop did the coating overnite for me for $50.

No swap now b/c the torque wrench is at my buddy's house.

Yeah I edited my post, as I realized I misread your post. I got it the second time I read it.

you dont need no stinkin torque wrench!

I've swapped my valve cover about 10 times now using just a ratchet.

I've even done it on my honda.

And you're also the one that got a huge ass ticket for driving your honda to school with no plates, no registration, and no insurance.

Sorry kiddo... I'm not gonna trust your advice on this one... I've got the torque specs... and she's gonna be torqued down properly... end of story.
