powder coating sc?

Has any powder coated their sc? I've seen some people spray paint them but never really seen anyone powder coat them. Is it even possible to get it powder coated or will it mess something up?

As long as everything is removed out of the SC, and you mask all the places the coating should not cover you should be fine. The 400 degree baking should not effect the aluminum, it should not cause it to warp/change in structure.

Would getting the powder coat on the inside of the sc cause any damage? if you drain the oil from the snout (i think thats what they call it) could you powder coat that to? are the holes where the rotors on the inside the only parts to really worry about making sure they dont get powder coat in them? sorry for all the questions but i think it would hold up better then spray paint. Thanks for the help

Yes I am sure it would, that is why you would remove the "guts", mask the holes, and coat... That way no coating would be inside the SC.

you may as well wrap a wool blanket around your S/C too.

paint your supercharger if you want to go that route, but i would highly recommend against powdercoating it.
