problems with putting a high rise on an 09?

hey guys, i just recently sold my high rise(from an 05) to a guy with a brand new SS/TC. he said he tried to put it on, and it went on , but claims there was a big gap between the spoiler and the trunk, and tightening it up any further felt like it would dent his trunk.

so has anyone had this problem? i dont think they changed the trunk lids throughout the years....correct me if i'm wrong. i'm supposed to go up there tomorrow to help him look at it, but i'm afraid i might have to buy it back from him or something. any help is appreciated

My buddy from the local GM dealer put a high rise spoiler on the demo 09 SS/TC and had no problems. They list the high rise spoilers the same from 05-09

I think it's because there has to be 3m adhesive around the mounts also. If you see anyone who's ripped their wing off they always have adhesive around the mounts for the highrise.

Yep, more of that double sided tape crap GM is so fond of. Can likely pick up the right stuff at the dealer, dont know if it comes pre cut or in bulk lengths.

I put a high rise on my 09 and it was from a 06, with no problems.
