head lamp update...

Did a 5 hour electrical marathon last night to complete my HID head lamp setup...I had already installed a pair of 6000kelvin/35 watt into my driving lamps but hadn't finished final aiming...what a pain to have to remove the lamps just to adjust the beam...must've remove/installed the lamps at least 20 times...:push:

Remaining setup included installing another pair of 6000k/35 watt for the fogs and a third set of 6000k/55 watt for the high beam...I made extensions for all the wiring with weather proof quick connects and mounted 4 of the 6 ballasts under the head lamp housing...the results are amazing!8) The 55 watt high beams are freekn torches...:laugh:

Does anyone know how to keep the driving beam from shutting off when in high beam mode? I like to keep the driving beams on as they do when just flashing the high...

As soon as it gets warm, Scotty and I hit Mt Clemens every Wednesday...

As for the parts, I can design anything, including a whole new car from ground up lol...the problem is manufacturing those parts...in the future, I may just start prototyping these parts for my Cobalt and see if I can recoup the investment by selling these parts on limited basis...I'm tinkering with a variety of rear spoilers, front splitters, rear diffuser, fender extensions, hoods with extractor, new front facia, new rear facia, wheels, etc etc...

How about a Cobalt SS Trophy car like this Renault?

I'll show the other more functional version later...the one above is sweet but probably won't give you too much down force...

That's too far back to cover...ideally, we should just weld up the holes for the complete clean install...

Once I can make a business case work, I'll will be cranking out tons of body parts for both Cobalts...

I don't know honestly...it's a huge task to have another friend go through the massive UG file and seperate just the parts I need...then I use Alias Autostudio from there...

Sorry I don't...SEMA members have access to their data base and I got this from a friend who is...

Well...this is what I'm going to build for myself...I'm not a vendor so this is strickly a personal project for now...

I chose not to do a three piece due to cost...also, a continuous three piece looks really awkward from certain rear view...think Cavalier...

And to keep the front load even with the rear...a new splitter...
