i dont know about purple stripes, but i seen a sick evoX at a car show with a black purple theme. He had halos with purple rings, purple badges. purple engine accents. nothing huge and flashy purple, but lots of suddle purple accents. looked amazing.

Purple looks really nice with black. A super dark like plum kind of purple would look cool during the day and it would just look black at night. I convinced my parents to buy their new CTS in "Black Cherry". It's about the same color. It's awesome.

black the car out. do purple SS badges. Black bowtie with purple trim around it instead of chrome, black charge pipes and intake with purple graphics on it would be cool. (purple pipes may be a little much under the hood since they are big pieces) purple fuse box cover, black valve cover with purple "EcoTech Turbocharged" Purple Vac Lines going to your stock BPV to intake manifold.
That is perfect I think. Interior is already black i believe so just do a dark purple dash trim. Think thats really all you need

i actually went to a powder coating shop today and looked at some samples he had. he is making me up 2 samples with a black base coat with a little bit up purple flake in them. in the dark it looks black and in the day you can see a dark purple ish.
i can take pics of the sample when her gets them done.

I think it's a great idea man. I honestly think there are too many "clean" cobalts. I know stripes aren't all that original but it can definitely give your car a different (good) look if they're done right. Especially if you can get it done like you said with the extremely dark with purple flake in it.
