Just cut the old one off (drill out all the old spot welds). Cut it somewhere on the sail panel and the rocker, the smaller the better. Clean all of your pinch welds up, make sure you have them flat and straight. Take the new sheet metal and do a rough but that you know will overlap onto the sheet metal remaining on the car. Score the metal at that line, remove the new panel and cut just below that line. Grind and fit the new panel till they butt together tightly. And have fun welding it all in. Then grind all your welds down and mud the seams and your jambs. Prime it and paint the bitch. Much easier said then done but PM me if you need more details.

@ Friday

It would be a terrible shame if the car caught on fire or something...

i would never try recommending this job to someone with instructions. he probablly doesnt even have to the tools for this caliber of a job. not to mention its always wise to glass the seams first then mud. saves a lot of filler and will help against cracking

If you know how to weld and dont warp the **** out of the panels when you weld them you dont need to glass the joints. And how much stress do you put on your quarter panels that they are gonna crack out. He wanted to know how to do it so i told him. If he tries it and ***** it up not my problem

Well I kinda have a similar situation. I was hit recently on my drivers side. He got 3/4 of the door and the entire quarter panel, as well as my rim and he also bent my axle. Completely his fault, so it's getting repaired as we speak. The dealer quoted around 8g's. I wanna say 4g's of that was the entirely the quarter panel, Parts/Labor/Paint. That's from my invoice buddy....

I know it sucks
