Question for 07' G5's about interior trim

k, well I got the bright idea about changing my factory dash trim (Satin Nickel) out w/ an 07' G5's that has that Carbon Fiber look to it; only problem is that I can't find one piece I need. I have two buttons for the DIC on my stock trim panel piece to the right of the steering wheel and I can't find that piece for the Carbon Fiber look. My unfortunate guess is that the piece isn't made and that all the Pontiac's DIC controls are on the Steering Wheel. Does anyone have a G5 with the Carbon Fiber dash trim that has the DIC buttons on the trim to the right of the steering wheel instead of on the steering wheel? And can I have your VIN so I can go to the dealership and they can order it per VIN so I can the right piece? (I already went there and all they could pull up is the soild trim piece w/o the button holes cut out and they told me that I'd have to have the VIN of one with the DIC buttons to the right).

bump

all g5s have the DIC controlls on the wheel. your best bet would be to buy an aftermartket trim kit that looks like carbon fiber.

+1...If the only difference is no holes, then make holes.

yeah i thought about it, but I think it would damage the piece i have w no holes....plus the DIC buttons are like rectangular so it would take skill took actually fir them because they are close together but separate and small and rectangular, if someone could and not damage the painted carbon fiber finish then they are skilled...I unfortunately am not that skilled, lol....thanks for the ideas though

or, a cool custom idea... bear with me here lol

cut an area larger than the buttons themselves out of the piece (large enough for both buttons in the one hole) and mount them onto a separate piece of plastic which you then attach to the cf look trip. I hope that someone understands this, if i were somewhere that I could a photoshop or something I would, ill just have to do it when I get home. but that would be unique and look pretty good if done right i think.
