question about interior lighting

i just bought an interior neon set from amazon, and was wondering how everyone else wired theirs. am i ok wiring it into the cigarette adapter in the center console, and mounting a switch there too? or should i wire it into the fuse box?

I wired it into the fuse box w/ a rocker switch.

There's some how-to's on here showing you how to do it.

It really doesn't matter though, unless you want constant power or switched power.

They are both pretty easy, but using the 12V power outlet would be the easiest way...

Yea, if I wasn't getting the SS/TC, then I would have gotten the BlackCat Custom gauge, w/ a blue backlit & other stuff like that.

I've been doing neon interior for about 8 years so i've definitely had my fair share of blowing up neons and melting wires and never tap into the cigarette power wires or any other factory circuit anymore to risky you could fry your cars electrical system if you don't know what you are doing. (That will cost you thousands!!) If you are going to spice into factory power wires make sure you have a very low amp fuse Or you might burn up something and regret a quick and seeming flawless installation. "Better to be safe than sorry"

I run a power wire right off of the battery with a fuse. Much safer and easier to trouble shoot if something goes wrong. But then again I have alot of neons in my car as you can see.

I have two switches controling the two different colors. Blue/purple

The only neons i have wired to the factory wires is in the trunk neons to the trunk switch but the load ins't that great.

I will add some more pictures later of the engine bay and trunk and better pics of my interior.

Ya, i'm lookin to add more blue in my car but idk where to put it lol, i've already got the blue for front pass and driver under dash area, custom blue led gauge face for tachometer i just dunno what to do next, and i will be adding blue underglow too, i think i'ma do led's with the underglow kit tho, they are brighter and last longer

underbody light kits

I have the 7 color kit by Streeglow. The cool thing with streetglow is that the led is brighter only a little but the neon kit covers way more area unless you get the iceled kits from the uk they are BAD ASS. But way expensive.
Streetglow has a brandnew lightstrike kit which is awesome too it has a wireless remote with led display! Check it out.
I would go with the 7 color if you are on a budget and very easy to install too. Plug and socket series connection. And the blue color in my opinion is as bright or brighter than the single color led kit.
