Hey guys..

I saw in another thread about painting your rear marker lenses black that a member suggested DIY lay-down tint instead. He did it and put pics up. Looked great. I did it the other day and it looks pretty good.. A little tiny bit bubbly, but no biggie. From a few feet away you can't notice it. lol. Regardless, it wasn't really meant to be a long-term mod. If I liked how it looked, I would THEN paint them.. Anyone else do the DIY lay-down tint on the OUTSIDE of their car like this? How long does it last? does it eventually start to get crappy?

Also.. I did my 3rd brake light too. But it's WAY too dark. lol. I can barely see the 3rd brake light during the day. haha. It's a black car, so it looks great, but that dark just isn't safe. How dark could you go on tinting your tails/3rd brakelight before cops would start hassling you? You have to have SOME kind of leway since some cars have factory smoke lights (Mercury Marauder, most Pontiacs, etc.)
