Quick HID Question

For some reason after it rained about a week ago my driver's side 6000k stopped working. I bought a new ballast and cross checked it, and the bulb, with the passenger side hookup (that side still works without a problem) to make sure that the new ballast and the bulb were not faulty. The driver's side connector seems to not even be sending power to the ballast since it is not making sound but it will still power the leds and hi-beams in my gen 2 projectors. The light will not flicker or flash at all, it never comes on. I am making a huge road trip in a couple of days and need to find a temporary solution. Is this because I don't have a relay? Even without it it seems like it should flicker - even when that light is the only one hooked up it still won't turn on so I don't think that the relay is an issue. Please let me know what you think!

The connectors probably got water in them, or the ballast did. Take everything apart and check for corrosion. Whichever is affected needs to be replaced.

No man, like I said, I cross checked the entire assembly on the passenger side and it works just fine. I even cleaned the contacts. The driver's side powers everything but the ballast evidently since the HID won't turn on. All of the other three HID kits still work no problem. Any other ideas?

Ok, so you just made my point... the connectors got wet and have corrosion INSIDE them... I understand that you cleaned the contacts but you can't clean inside the plastic where the corrosion will be.

You said ballast and light works on the passenger side, so that leaves only the wiring as the problem.... connectors are the most common failure.

PM Mkulrey13 or send a message through www.buyhids.com and get some relays. We've got them for cheap and it will help prevent this in the future.

I see what you're saying - I thought you meant the HID connectors. So you think the stock wiring harness 5-prong connector is messing up even if it will power the hibeams and leds? Your relay would fix that problem? I'd need one for both sides, right? Sorry for all the questions but I need to fix this fast. I appreciate the help!
