quick question about headlights

im really interested in buying the projector headlights and an hid kit, but i was wondering, when i install both the hid and projectors on the car, will i lose the automatic headlights (where they turn on automatically in the dark) and the driving lights function? basically will the hids and projectors change anything with how my stock headlights work?

i wouldn't think so. most HID kits use the factory wiring to fire a relay that turns the HIDs on.

so, i'm making an educated guess at, no, they'll come on as per normal.

They still come on just like normal....i just installed them about 5 minutes ago. You can wire your halos/led's up to come on with whichever light you prefer.

so you could make it so your halos are the only thing on at night? and you could wire your projectors to your highbeam wire? kuz then you could just have halos on at night in the city and flip your highbam switch and its just normal running lights?

Ok guys, this uses the stock headlight wiring. Even if you add HIDS. If you notice on your dash right under the windshield where they meet you have a little dark bubble. Its a sensor that senses when your lights need to come on, therefore they'll always come on unless for some stupid reason you F*** up that sensor. You'll always have your Automatic Headlight Function.

As far as your Halos/LEDS. The Halos you cant see for **** unless its night time and the leds i'm not sure, but both items YOU have to wire in yourself. The best way is to splice into the side marker light that is in the headlight housing. Therefore when your lights come on so do the halos and LEDs. For the Projector Headlights you reuse your stock turn signal bulb and socket and side marker bulb and socket.

I have the halo's wired into my fog lights. As far as the hid, they function just like the stock headlights do. Here are some pic's below.

No glare with hid's

About 30 feet away

Hid's with halo's and fog lights

so if it is not night time and the sensor is still working fine, the projectors wont come on?
kuz during the day the only thing on is the side markers so...if you wire up the halos and leds to the side markers then they should be the only thing coming on during the day obviously right..

The headlights work just like normal . The sensor still makes the headlights come on .

The only thing you should do with a HID bullb is , in the DIC ....disable the lights coming on when u lock and unlock the doors with the remote . Turning the HID bulbs off and on for such a short time is not good for them . I forgot to mention that to ya last night Jon .

With the projectors, the high beams come on when I unlock the car. When I lock it, just the turn signals flash so my HID's never come on when lock/unlock my car.
