I know a member named HidKidSS has a hood that has mesh over the super charger. I don't think it's ram air though.

Check out Powerz on here. He made the hood himself.

lol fair enough...i like aftermarket hoods...but not cf types...id much rather spend the 700-800 on something a little more useful for my car though, in all honesty...i cant justify that high of a price for something like that...but as i always say - to each, his own.

I checked the hoods out, they look really good. But the vents aren't over the supercharger, if there was a vent over the supercharger, I think more heat would be able to escape. But there is nothing wrong with those hoods.

What about the Camaro SS style hood? I know on the Camaro it was functional.

I like the one that raven ss has. I want to get one but it costs too much. Good thing I bought it from him.

I bought one of those used for $275, painted my color.....the opening is pretty small....not sure if it is really functional......I tried to think of a way to use it for something...but no workable ideas yet.....so still not on my car....it might allow some air to pass through...maybe raise the back end with some washers or something??

Have you actually seen under the hood of the SS Camaro. It sounds like the ones for the cobalt arent the same. On the camaro, once the air goes the opening in the hood it heads towards the passengers and then splits, makes a hard left and a hard right and goes into a heart shape where the very bottom tip of the heart is the air intake. You get what Im saying. It sounds like the SS hood for the cobalt is just an opening and thats it...
