Hey guys -

I posted a thread in the general forum about a car wash eating my antenna.

Well, now I am working to correct the damage. I have a new "shorty" antenna... but I need to replace the base as well. O'Reilly's has a "universal" antenna that comes with the antenna (which I won't need obviously), base and cable... all I really need is the base. The dealership has just the base for $2 more than the whole kit at O'Reilly's.

Any other suggestions?

I'm very new to this whole "working on my car" thing so any help is appreciated and I'm very sorry if I sound very uneducated on this subject!!

 

If you're just looking for the base, I'd just go for the dealer.
I don't usually like universal kits, and who knows if the base will fit or not.
