those "toooo cheap" ones are just that.
cheap.
I ordered 10 of them to use for my foglights, because they looked horribly yellow compared to my HIDs, and they basically are only looks now, since the HIDS blow them out of the water anyway.
so far in 6 months ive blown 3
they are poorly made, and you get what you pay for.
but they do the job for me, they are cheap and give me a nice color for my fogs.

I tried silverstar ultras, and honestly found the increase rather dissapointing.
the stock headlight bulbs actually perform quite admirably as far as halogens go.
I gave my silverstars away after a few days of trying them out.

projectors and HID's for best quality...

As far as halogens go they are all basically the same, the stock ones do just fine.

getting projectors will net you the same, maybe slightly less light on low beams, but much brighter high beams...HIDs are the only way to go for better light output

If you want a straight bulb replacement I have always goin with the PIAA's extreme whites and that is what I did for the balt as well. Here is the best price I found for them and where I ordered from.

I get people flashing me with the low beams on.

And BTW, I hate PIAA. They're lights are no better than Best Buy bulbs (yes, BEST BUY) and they're wayyyyy over priced.

Exactly just try them..Never had a problem with PIAA's personally and have always lasted.

The specs on the piaa's for the low beam = 110w and high beam = 120w cmpared to the stock 55w/65w and the fogs are 110W compared to 55w

that doesnt necessarily mean they are brighter.
only that they obviously dont have the same exact light generation point, and need to be re-aimed.

A brighter bulb correctly aimed should not be causing people to flash you.

They are aimed pretty close, if anything they are low.

piaas are the best dont let anyone talk you out of them... they are very very very bright for the money. always had people flashing me thinking my highbeams were on, until i flashed them the high beams and they stopped what they were doing. incredible night vision and incredible wet vision

I have some PIAA's also. I bought the car with them installed. Are there different types cause mine emit a blue light? Is that normal from the PIAA's?

Also, how long do these bulbs last?

Thanks.
