remove the front bowtie, like the back?

I Dont like the bowtie on the front of the car and was wondering on how to remove it? I looked at the other post of removing the back emblems, but didnt see anything on there about the front one... so any suggestions? I already bought goo gone and fishing line, incase u do it the same way as the back.... also anyone know where to order new badges? When I got the car the person had removed the SS/SC badges off the rear and I want the SS/SC back there....

front is easy... open your hood and take out all of those panel retainers along the top of your grill.... now pull the top of the front bumper away from the car, there are 2 (10,, i believe) nuts holding the bowetie in... thats it but ull have some nastyholes sitting there... and nobody likes a nasty hole

be careful when taking off the front bowtie... the little nuts are cheap-o and the bowtie itself is plastic... it can break easily... and if it's like my stock one, one of the screw posts was stripped, so I had to break it to get the bowtie off.

Haha... reminds me of when I changed my downpipe... the O2 sensor had been Cross-threaded from the Factory! I was pissed! Delayed my install big time.

You don't need to unscrew the grill at all just fit the rachet (10mm) and your arm through the opening and unscrew. Push against emblem when unscrewing, I think upwards with the rachet loosens it I might be wrong. Mask off the emblem and paint with any plastic enamel spray paint. Several coats does the trick! Xacto knife any excess before unmasking and place your new the emblem on the grill. (No primer or sanding needed)

You can use original SS badges that goes on the sides of the 07 Impala. It fits there and covers most of the holes for it. You can get it from a dealership and they are pretty cheap too. It just sticks on.

15211285 - PLATE ASM-FRT S/D NA (CHROME)
Dealer Price $6.60 List Price $11.18 Trade Price $8.39

If your dealer dont have it in stock, they can get it next day. Most GM wharehouses have it in stock.

I have a carbon fiber one, looks awesome. PM me if you would like the email address of the guy who makes them. Pic attached (not my car, just an example pic the seller emailed me a long time ago)
