Removing the interior trim?

I changing the silver trim around my radio, dash, and window/lock door controls to red. But im not sure how exactly to get the silver ones out. The directions just say to carefully pull it towards you, i tired that of course and it just feels like im gonna snap something rather than removing it. I know a lot of people have repainted their trim, anyone got any tips on how to get the old trim pieces off?

I've gotta do the same thing soon... as far as I've heard... just pull... it'll probably feel like it's gonna break... but it should come off. Maybe take a couple of screw drivers or putty knives and go one on either side... pull it off evenly?

Check the How-to's there are more than a couple. it will even show you where the clips are. It's gonna feel like you are breaking it, but just pull.

I'm sure once you get that first clip you will feel a whole lot better about it

All the guys who repaint remove the trim to do so.

Check this one out. It shows you where the clips are:

Good find man, thanks

Uh i just spent another half hour pulling away at the damn trim and none of those pieces will budge, i used a screw driver to pop the clips out but they just snap rite back in once i loosen them. i thought this would be easy lol

I just pulled them to... they take some good pulling but it comes off. trust me. I used the screw driver to help compress the clip
