Removing sticky wing residue.

I recently removed my high rise wing from my car, and it left the sticky stuff on my trunk. After about 2 hours of scraping, rubing, and the use of goo gone I got one side clear of the sticky residue. My question is, am I doing it wrong or is there is a faster way easier to do it?

If there is a vinyl shop nearby go in and ask if you can borrow some adhesive remover. They should have industrial strength stuff. Spray it on and let it sit for a minute or two and it should rub off. Much faster than goo gone. I would use the stuff to remove complete vehicle wraps that were on the vehicle for 10+ years. The whole car would be covered in adhesive.

WD40 works really well also. Spray it on and let it sit. Will take adhesive off like nothing.

I'll try some WD40. This won't hurt the paint or anything?

Not really sure. You can buy adhesive remover but I do not know if it's as strong. The stuff we got was from 3m.

Nope it won't hurt your paint at all. I used WD40 to take all the adhesive off when I debadged my car. It worked fantastic. I just used a heat gun to get all the big stuff off and cleaned the rest of it with WD40.
