restoring the door vinyl inserts

so my inserts are peeling, my car is 6 years old, so i have been doing a bit of reaserch,

what i plan on doing

wiping the inserts with some poten cleaner
taping the edges to prevent overspray
using duplicolor adesive promoter
using duplicolor vinyl spray in burgundy (my car is black with black with burgundy accents

if anybone had restored these to factory look am i missing something?
if you had done it and it lasted can you tell me what you did thanks!

yeah! well my car is getting a new cylinder head installed at the dealership so i cant get you one right now. but yeah the color is peeling off, but the vinyl underneath is black and looks intact

just not peeling off easily like tiny peices at a time

Oh, gotcha, well the only proper solution would be to have the insert re-upholstered.

Spray dye will look shitty, trust me.

well... if you can manage to perfectly remove the colour and have nice looking black inserts then go for it.. but odds are the black underneath wont look uniform.

I'd just have them re done
