Slackin man...
I've had my 4th gens finished for months. I'm already almost finished with my 2nd retro.
TL's in the stock lights. First Cobalt that I know of...only one G5 that I know of has them.
Just gotta paint and then they're done.

I think I remember seeing one done a long time ago, I think the post was a few years old when I read it. But you're probably one of maybe 4-5. How difficult was the install? Was it as bad as your gen 4 retro was?
I did the TL's in stock headlights about 2 years ago, pics are in my gallery. I have since done about 2 other sets on my own car and about 10-12 sets for other people. The install is tight with the TL's but can be done. I mounted it so I could still adjust the projector from the stock adjusters which was tight. There are a few people on the OCC with this setup, but not many as it is the most difficult to do and have it look clean. best of luck with the TL's.

No never did, just rockin my blacked out 4th gens, biggest problem with the swap was the size of the retro i tried tO squeeze in there. Its just ****** bIggg. Id suggest going with a smaller projecter.
i have third gens and they are just sitting in my basement at the moment... i was thinking about openint them up, putting HIDS and CCFL halos in... my first newb question is...
How did you weaken your sealant to open the housing... and second....
did you use CCFLs to replace the halos? third...
i guess 5000k would be best so as not to melt and ruin the housing?

try mirmoto mini projecto's. and put your headlights in the oven at like 200 degrees for 10 minutes, get a set of gloves and pull the lense seperate from the body of the housing after the sealant is hot and gooey. and no matter what K you choose you dont have to worry about melting anything. HID's run cooler
ok i thought the other parts would melt if i baked them like my stock housings; i guess not. sweeet.
right i thought they ran cooler. but in terms of sight and brightness, somewhere in the range of 5000-6000k would be most effective.
alright, and you used CCFL halos to replace the other LED poop ones?
