Reverse/License plate LED bulbs
I did a nice and long search, but I couldn't come up with anything that didn't have dead links.
I recently tinted my tail lights and threw a tinted license plate cover on my car, and now I want to "brighten up" those areas a bit more, so to speak.
What bulb size do both locations take, (reverse lights and license plate light) where's a good source to buy them from, and what are everyones experiences with them?

Reverse lights use bulb 921, the license plate light is a 194. I bought my LED lights from a seller on eBay, but they also have a website located at http://www.v-leds.com that sells all the same stuff. It's bright out right now but when it gets dark I'll go take a pic of my back end so you can see how bright my LEDs are and see if they'll work for you.

Alright, here's my pic of my rear end with all LED lights. The license plate light isn't even a "bulb" so to speak. If you go to the V-LED site they are called the 194 flank bulb, basically just a really tiny circuit board that fits into the socket. It's a real tight fit mind you, but it works. The reverse lights are the M-SMT type as they call them.

Damn, looks good. But here's my question...will these 194 and 3157 bulbs work if I buy them for the stock headlamps, then upgrade later to 1st gen projectors? Anyone?

The ones I bought for my plate light are these, but I'm not sure which version is brighter, if there's any real difference. Your preference basically. You'll really have to push on them to get them into the socket, but they will go in eventually. As far as the reverse ones go, the ones I use are the 36 M-SMT. The others won't fit, they're different bulb numbers. I wish they did fit though, the more LEDs that are on the bulb the brighter they'll be...

Also, I'm pricing a full set of bulbs from their LEDs, as follows:
Front Side Markers
Rear Side Markers
Front Turn Signals
Brake Lamps
Plate Lamp
Reverse Lamps
Now they indicate the front and rear turn signals (likely side markers also) will require resistors to allow the turn signal flasher to function properly. Where do I get these and how are they installed?

This is my license plate light: http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481
They don't make the ones that I have for reverse lights anymore.

Ok not to go away from the real lights but i have a question on the trunk light. What size is it?
I think i will just use the wire and wire something bigger and brighter in there anyway but was just wondering what it might be.
By the way those lights look good.

Look in their sidebar menu under LED Load Resistors. You want the ones that are $9.99. You'll need four of them, since you have to install one on each front signal and each rear signal to completely stop the fast blinking, since it's the ECM or whatever that controls the signals as we don't have flashers. Side markers don't need load resistors, they don't get factored into the signal loads. Also, I recommend you get the 60 M-SMT for the front signals as opposed to the 27 SMT. They'll be brighter and easier to see during the day.

Alright, so I ordered all the bulbs for the back of my car the other night, reverse lights, third brake light as well as regular tail lights, and plate bulb, along with the load resistors. I'll get them installed ASAP and put some pics up for you guys, maybe I'll even do a How-To.
